The critical care team of Rotary Ambala Cancer and General Hospital is happy to share the smiling faces of the patient and her mother. On October 4, 2023, a young 24-year-old female patient came to the RACGH and was diagnosed with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and multiorgan failure. She was admitted under the supervision of Dr. Ajay Panwar, an Interventional Neurologist and Brain Stroke Specialist, and Dr. Anubhav Sharma, a Critical, Pain and Palliative Care Specialist. She had an acute kidney injury with a creatinine of 5 and severe LV dysfunction. She remained at the RACGH’s Medical ICU for more than a month, including 27 days on a ventilator.
With the full dedication and team efforts of the treating doctor and the critical care team, the patient has been discharged and is going home happily to celebrate Diwali with her family members on November 7, 2023.
