Sabir, a pediatric patient, was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor on a PET CT scan and FNAC and came to Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital with a large tumor mass in his abdomen. The tumor in his body was inoperable at the time of presentation, and he was given chemotherapy by Dr. Vaneet Anand, a pediatric hematologist and oncologist, to reduce the size of the tumor. After 6 cycles of chemo at the Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital’s Paediatric Chemo Ward, the size of the tumor significantly decreased, and the patient was referred to Dr. Ravitej Singh Bal, a pediatric surgeon, for Wilms tumor surgery. The surgery performed was successful, and all the tumors were removed from the patient’s body.
The patient belongs to a low socio-economic background and was provided with state-of-the-art treatment without any extra cost.
Sabir is doing well today, and we at Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital wish him the best in his future endeavors!
