On February 4, 2024, World Cancer Day was celebrated at the Civil Hospital’s Atal Cancer Care Center, Ambala Cantt, and different oncologists and hematologists were called to speak on the chosen topic, “Close the Care Gap.” For this, Dr. Vaneet Anand, a pediatrician, hematologist, and oncologist from the Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital (DJMRH), was also invited. In his talk, he not only talked about general cancer but also about cancer in pediatric patients. He said, “Cancer is not only for adult patients; it can happen in children as well. In his talk, he also shared how to close the care gap in treating cancer in pediatric patients as well as adult patients.
The cancer care ward/chemotherapy ward of the Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital, with the support of Dr. Vaneet Anand and his time, has treated and provided care to many patients. Some patients are warriors and survivors of cancer. At the DJMRH, some patients who were treated for cancer have recovered from it.
Kudos to the oncology and hematology departments’ teams for providing the best possible treatment to the warriors and survivors of cancer.
DJMRH wishes all the cancer warriors and survivors a courageous, healthy, and prosperous life ahead!
