A 77-year-old male patient was admitted under Dr. Hardeep Singh, a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, at Dr. Jai Dev Memorial Rotary Ambala Hospital (DJMRH) with absolute dysphagia. Looking at this, the treating doctor decided to perform an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (UGIE), where circumferential ulcerative growth was seen in the esophagus. Noticing all this, Dr. Hardeep Singh decided to perform another procedure to insert a self-expandable metallic stent (SEMS) in the esophagus. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was discharged with no further complaints.
We, the team at DJMRH, wish a healthy life for the patient!
