Nalini Kant Gupta, Chairman
Mr. Gupta Is the founder and MD of Advanced Microdevices Pvt. Ltd. (mdi). He is An engineering graduate with a MS in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, USA and has over 40 years of experience in business and technology development. Mr. Gupta developed the first commercially viable microporous membranes in India.. He worked as a Design Engineer (MOS ICs) with American Microsystem Inc (AMI), Santa Clara, USA (one of the founding companies of the Silicon Valley) and did exceptional work in developing the first calculators. He also worked as a Scientist at Stanford University, California, USA.
Dr. Ashawant Gupta, Vice Chairman
Dr. Gupta is ED at Advanced Microdevices Pvt. Ltd. (mdi), has over 20 years of experience in Industry, Research, and Teaching. He received BE degree in Electrical Engineering from MSRIT, Bangalore in 1989 and MS and Ph.D. degree in 1991 and 1997, respectively, both in Microelectronics, from Santa Clara University, California, USA, and wrote an award winning Master’s Thesis (Ross Tucker Master’s Memorial Award in 1991) from the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers. He has published and presented over 20 papers in international journals and conferences. Before joining mdi, Dr. Gupta worked as a Researcher/Engineer at Hitachi Central Research Laboratory, Kokubunji, Tokyo, Japan and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Santa Clara, California, USA.
N.K. Jain, Vice Chairman
Mr. Jain is a leading manufacturer and exporter of microscopes and other scientific instruments. Past President of Rotary Club of Ambala, he is associated with a large number of social and organizations and has been running a charitable eye and maternity hospital for the last 50 years.
Puneet Gupta, Director Operations
Mr. Gupta is a qualified engineer from Pune University and has a MBA degree from Bhavans University Mumbai. He has 22 years of experience in manufacturing and marketing of laboratory glassware and research apparatus, pathology and surgical microscopes. He is into manufacturing laboratory glassware and research apparatus under the brand name of PERFIT.
Mr. Subhash Bansal, Secretary
Mr. Bansal is a Postgraduate in Hindi Literature and now a successful businessman, running a unit of printing and packaging for the last 45 years in Saha and Ambala. His support for Rotary Ambala Cancer and General Hospital is indispensable and he has played an instrumental role in the growth of the hospital. His inspiration is his late wife who braved cancer, but unfortunately succumbed to it in 2012. Mr. Bansal, at present, takes keen interest in looking after ‘ Sneh Sparsh’ the free palliative care unit of Rotary Ambala Cancer and General Hospital
A.D Gandhi, Treasurer
Mr. Gandhi is a leading chartered accountant of northern region. He is associated with large number of social, and professional organizations. Mr. Gandhi since inception of his practice, has been taking special interest in grooming and mentoring young students to become successful chartered accountants.
