Neurosurgery of a 50 years old female

The patient was a 50-year-old female who was presented with a right-sided foot drop. Her MRI LS Spine showed Lumbar Canal Stenosis with Hypertrophied Ligamentum Flavum and Facet Hypertrophy at L4-5 level with foraminal narrowing and nerve root compression. She was operated on in the form of Decompressive Laminectomy and Foraminotomy with decompression of the nerve root. Postoperatively patient is symptomatically improved with relief of back pain and improvement in foot drop.
